Overview
For our 2019 World Conference we are privileged to be hosted by the International School of Geneva on its Grande Boissière campus, which is situated within the city of Geneva itself. The school not only holds an impressive place in the history of international education, but it is also currently actively involved in a range of developments within the field. We shall be hearing more about them during the conference!
The conference will begin at 0800 on Friday 18 October 2019 with registration and administrative procedures. The programme itself will begin at 0900 and will close at 1300 on Sunday 20 October.
Following the success of the series of World Conferences previously held, the programme will be an exciting mixture of activities and social events throughout the three-day period. The main feature of the conference, as for previous events, will be the opportunity for all participants to engage in a series of “strand groups” within which those participants who choose to do so will give short presentations on topics related to the overall theme of the conference, followed up immediately by engagement in discussion and debate by the group. This has been a widely-acclaimed feature of the conferences so far held and we are confident that it will be well supported in Geneva. Details concerning the submission of proposals for presentation are be found at the conference registration part of this website; all submissions are welcome and will be considered for inclusion in the strand programme within the conference overall.
In addition, the programme will include keynote addresses by acknowledged authorities within their field, opportunities to meet with other participants to exchange ideas and experiences, learning more about the AIE and wider participation in its work, and social events which can also include companion attendance. A full schedule for the programme will be announced on this site in the near future, including suggestions for accommodation in Geneva, which will be a personal responsibility for all attendees.
Registration is now open so please do take advantage of the “Early Bird” discounted offer available!
