Professor Mary Hayden, AIE Trustee - Conference Coordinator - University of Bath UK

Dr Mary Hayden is Director of the Centre for the study of Education in an International Context (CEIC) and Head of the Department of Education at the University of Bath, UK. Her Masters-level and Doctoral-level teaching and research supervision focus particularly on international schools and international education, an area in which she has published and presented widely.

Mary is a member of the Advisory Board for the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), academic advisor to the International Leadership Management Programme (ILMP), Editor of the Journal of Research in International Education, and joint Editor (with Professor Jeff Thompson) of is (international school) magazine. She was centrally involved in organising the first AIE conference, held in Geneva in September 2002, and has continued to support the work of the Alliance for International Education and the organisation of its conferences ever since.
